Hamburg - Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will decide on his future based on the success of his club VfB Stuttgart and doesn't even rule out another move at the age of 39.

"I like it a lot in Stuttgart, the atmosphere is nice and the people as well. But you never know what will happen ... It will depend a bit on the sporting development in Stuttgart," Lehmann told Saturday's edition of the Sueddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) daily.

"I know I am 39 years old, but I don't feel this number."

Lehmann, who retired from the national team after Euro 2008, came to Stuttgart in the summer from English club Arsenal on a one-year contract.

Stuttgart were ranked ninth in the Bundesliga ahead of their match later Saturday against champions Bayern Munich. They are six points below fifth place which would earn a place in the UEFA Cup.

Lehmann also told the SZ that play in the Bundesliga was less skillful as in the Premier League and that he did not rule out a future as coach after carefully looking at the methods of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger during his time there.

"I don't know yet but one thing is clear, anyone who has worked under Arsene Wenger knows how fascinating it can be to exercise influence as coach.

"I don't have a coaching licence but I believe I could start coaching a team tomorrow," Lehmann said. (dpa)
