Sri Lankan Foreign Minister to meet Pranab Mukherjee today
New Delhi, June 16: Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollogama will meet his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee here today.
Later, Bogollogama will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and is expected to discuss recent developments in his country and areas of bilateral cooperation.
According to sources, Bogollagama will brief the Indian leaders on the security situation in the wake of recent LTTE attacks.
During his visit, Bogollagama will extend a formal invite to the Prime Minister for the 15th SAARC Summit to be held in Colombo in August.
The next meeting of the heads of state and government of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in August.
The Summit will be presided over by Dr. Manmohan Singh where he will hand over the chair to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa. (ANI)
