Aegis Media, a media division of the English holding company Aegis Group PLC, plans to acquire strategic stake in India's leading search-marketing and contextual advertising firm, Communicate 2.

The market experts anticipate that the proposed partnership will enable Aegis Media to include search into the communication solutions from its media planning Carat in India and launch Isobar as the digital marketing solution for the Indian market.

Aegis Group Plc is the world's fastest growing marketing communications group. It operates in marketing communications with Aegis Media, and market research with Synovate. The group is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AGS.L), and it is capitalised at £1.5 billion.

In a separate release, Mr. Ashish Bhasin, who was recently elevated to executive vice-president of Lowe Worldwide and Asia regional director for integrated marketing, has decided to join Aegis Media as chairman India and CEO South-East Asia.
