Run to Hills to Stay away from Zombies

You may have seen zombies in Hollywood movies biting and eating humans. According to Cornell University researchers, to stay away from the flesh-eating ghouls, people should get out of the town. The researchers said that there are possibilities that lumbering dead ones will start spreading their maddening state to normal United States residents. People can stay alive by heading to the hills, as per the researchers.

While affirming that, Cornell University researchers said that the only way to stay safe is by running or hiding. The researchers had used a fictional zombie outbreak. Alex Alemi, a graduate student from the Cornell University and lead researcher, said that in several Hollywood movies, zombies are shown as a sort of disease. The beginning of their spread is very much similar to an outbreak.

Alemi and other researchers of the study had developed simulations to know how a ‘zombie apocalypse’ could spread in the United States. In a study presented on March 5 during 2015 American Physical Society annual meeting, the researchers said that the good thing about zombie apocalypse is that the flesh-eating ghouls do not fly on airplanes.

Alemi said, “Social diseases tend to spread through direct contact, such as to caregivers and those exposed to contaminated surfaces or air. Airplanes can take someone with Ebola or influenza to another city.”

Alemi further said that the zombies will infect the ones that are nearest to them. Their prime target will be densely populated areas. By the time they try to go out of a dense area, the outbreak would have slowed, Alemi added. As per the researchers, it could take at least four months for zombies to go from cities to remote areas such as Nevada and Montana.
