UTV Star unveils Yash Chopra’s Statue
New Delhi, Feb 12 : Bollywood veteran director Yash Chopra's statue was unveiled by UTV Star in Mumbai on Monday.
Pamela Chopra, wife of late filmmaker, who died on 21st October last year due to dengue, along with younger son Uday unveiled a golden statue of her husband with the camera and his trade mark cap. "I am really happy that UTV is doing this, and its mark of the man that he achieved so much so much starting with almost nothing except blessings and he has achieved so much that today there is going to be a statue of him, which is going to be a statue so that people can see and admire it and touch it and be framed with him so that makes me really happy," Pamela said.
Speaking at the occasion, 40-year-old actor Uday asserted that he finds it interesting to see his father, who was an animated person, so still now. Other celebs present at the event included Shatrughan Sinha, Kabir Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Poonam Dhilon, Prem Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. The Statue will be placed at the UTV Star's Walk of Stars at Bandra Promenade on 15th of February. (ANI)
