Online calculator to foresee chances of achievement in case of couples planning IVF

IVFScientists have developed a 60-second test to determine couples' probabilities of having a baby via IVF.

All one needs is a free calculator that comes online that offers solutions and answers to nine simple questions to work out the odds of fertility treatment succeeding.

The outcomes revealed were nearly 100 per cent accurate, the test could help save couples from the tremors of having undergoing treatment only for them to fail, the PLoS ONE journal stated.

Women with reduced chances of conceiving could be further claimed about tweaks to their action that could lead to the growth in number of chances, according to the Daily Mail.

Glasgow and Bristol University researchers procured data information on almost 150,000 IVF cures which was further released in case of Britain in the period of 2003 and 2007.

They employed this to determine the factors which are vital in conceiving. This further led to creation of the IVF prediction test.

The nine questions need less than a minute to answer and the outcomes are approximately accurate, the scientists said.

Scott Nelson, a researcher from Glasgow University, said: "The test provides critical information on the likely outcome for couples deciding whether to undergo IVF - until now estimates of success have not been reliable."
