Minnesota town rated as best for living
It has been reported that Money Magazine, announcing its picks for the best 100 U. S. towns, gave first place to Eden Prairie, Minn., and 100th to Mount Pleasant, S. C.
The magazine reported in New York on Tuesday that numbers 2 through 4, in ascending order are Columbia/Ellicott City, Md., Newton, Mass., Bellevue, Wash., and McKinney, Texas.
Wendi Seminari, whose child and grandchildren also live in the city, said, "I love living in Eden Prairie." She said Eden Prairie is "good for all ages."
Jade Kirchgessner wrote in a comment on the magazine's Web site, "(It is) no surprise that the Twin Cities and Minnesota reliably and consistently pop up in national quality of life and other livability rankings. This state has among the highest educational attainment in the country, highest quality healthcare, very high per-capita GDP (especially for the Midwest), very low poverty, high investment and participation in arts/theater, excellent public schools, low cost of living, clean cities, and liberal politics to top it all off. Why would anyone want to live anywhere else?"
Greg Broderick wrote as his comment, "Bend, Ore., isn't even in the Top 10? Are you serious? CNN Money has ranked Bend as one of the top destinations on numerous occasions, including best places to live." (With Inputs from Agencies)
