Cancer survivors are more believed then the doctors

Cancer-survivorsThe world has been struggling against one of the deadliest illness, which occurs in different parts of body and is very difficult to be cured. The World Cancer survivor's day reflects human victory over the most deadly illness. The World Cancer Survivor's Day is celebrated on June 6.

Apollo Cancer Hospital at Hyderabad organized a two day festival for the cancer survivors with the name as 'I am a survivor'. During this program, all the survivors share their pre and post treatment experiences.

Abhiram, a 12 years old boy who defeated cancer, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was a brilliant student in the class, and had to take break from his studies for two years to undergo the treatment.

Another cancer survivor, Jyothi Prasad, 34 years of age also spoke about his struggle against breast cancer. The customer care manager after hearing the experiences of survivors found that his sufferings are very minute in comparison to these strugglers.

Dr P Vijayanand Reddy of Apollo Hospital said that cancer survivors are more believed then doctors, so it is effective when survivors tell about their illness.
