Washington, January 27: Steve Martin has revealed that it was his doing that an unlikely wedding was fitted into the script for his movie Pink Panther 2 - because all his movies ending with a marriage have tasted success.

The 63-year-old's clumsy Inspector Clouseau character was depicted tying the knot with Emily Mortimer''s character Nicole in the new laughter riot.

"I said, ''I have to tell you that every movie I''ve done that ends in a wedding or holding a baby has been a hit,'' Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I do believe we''ve taken the Pink Panther somewhere else and, in a sense, made it our own," he added.

And the Emmy Award-winning actor further unfolded his plans for the next Pink Panther project.

He added: "It would obviously open with Clouseau''s honeymoon - him taking Nicole across the threshold and she''s wearing arm pads and a helmet!" (ANI)
