NASA Releases First 4K Ultra-High Definition Video from ISS

The American space agency NASA recently released the first 4K ultra-high definition video that has been captured from the International Space Station (ISS). The video shows the captivating shots of earth and glimpse of life inside the space station.

As per the space agency, the 4K camera was transported to the ISS in 2014 along with astronaut Terry Virts. Virts returned to earth on June 11 after spending a long time at the space station, according to CNET.

NASA in description of the video said, "This important new capability will allow researchers to acquire high resolution, high frame rate video to provide new insight into the vast array of experiments taking place every day".

The agency said it will also provide most breathtaking views of earth and space station activities ever acquired for consumption by those dreaming of making the trip to outer space.

The video makes it easy for people on earth who want to experience space to enjoy the view. NASA in April released a gorgeous, hour-long GoPro video taken by Virts and fellow astronaut Barry Wilmore of a spacewalk.
