Mars has a mysterious object, seeing which some think the Red Planet has a mouse problem.

Recently, NASA’s Mars Curiosity rover captured a picture from the planet. Enhancing the image on his YouTube page, amateur astronomer Joe White noted that the object looked like a ‘possible quite huge mouse or other rodent’.

However, White has also admitted that the object is, ‘probably an optical illusion’. NASA’s Curiosity rover has been studying mars for over 3 years and trying to find out whether the planet can support life.

The huge ‘mouse’ on the Red Planet isn’t a mouse, a cat or a baby lion, instead is a rock or rocks that look like a rodent. We have a lot of rocks on Earth that form different stuff, and each one is sculpted by nature.

White mentioned that the object may be a ‘couple of rocks’ and there could be a tiny rock blocking the much darker rock that seems like the tail part. He added, “On a closer inspection, it does look like a rodent. But the problem is, with these images, the quality is so low and we can only speculate”.

The mouse or rodent on the Red Planet is not the first rock that has grasped the attention of fans, ‘searching for life’ outside the gravitational influence of the Earth. The most popular one was the face on Mars in the Cydonia area in 1976.
