MySociety launches new website for improving UK transportation

MySociety, a non-profit organisation created by Tom Steinberg, is behind a newly launched website that allows users of the UK transportation to write complaints about their grievances.

The new FixMyTransport site comes with a slogan "Euston, we have a problem". A new launch message described the initiative as "a site specially built for public transport users in Britain who want to make public transport better for us all."

The project is a result of 18 months' work by a lone developer, Louise Crow and is inspired by FixMyStreet. com. The website will notify operators of problems with rail, bus, tube and even ferry services.

It allows users of public transport to file reports which then seek support for other passengers. However, the site is having just reports and not much support on them. It is hoping to include enough users in order to outline more critical issues and help in solving them.

The service is available across Great Britain and includes "300,000 stops and routes for train, tube, tram, bus, coach and ferry", according to MySociety.
