Moussavi supporters vow not to insult Ahmadinejad

Moussavi supporters vow not to insult AhmadinejadTehran  - Supporters of Iranian opposition leader Mir-Hossein Moussavi announced prior to a protest rally in downtown Tehran on Wednesday that there should be no slogans that insult President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The network coordinating the protestst against alleged fraud in the country's presidential elections on Friday said insults would just provoke Ahmadinejad's supporters and eventually lead to violent confrontations, which would not be in line with Moussavi's interests.

Moussavi himself has called on his supporters to hold mourning ceremonies in mosques or other venues for those killed in the protests so far. The official number of casualties is seven, but may be higher, as no independent confirmation is possible.(dpa)
