Michael Clarke, Lara Bingle eye $6.5m pad
Melbourne, Feb 25 : Australian cricket team vice-captain Michael Clarke and fiance Lara Bingle are reportedly interested in buying a 6.5 million dollar Bondi apartment.
Last week, Bingle confirmed that Clarke''s five-bedroom pad in Lilli Pilli, in Sydney''s south, was up for auction next month, saying she wanted to move ‘closer to the city’.
Now, a source close to Clarke said that the couple is ‘very interested in a particular Bondi apartment in the 6-7 million dollar range’.
"It would suit Lara so much better - Michael is away so often and it''s a lonely place for a young woman down there," News. com. au quoted the source, as saying.
"She also has to travel into town all the time.
"But it''s a big price, and it would be financially tough even though Michael earns more than 1.5 million dollar a year - and there''s only so many years left in his cricket career," the source added.
The property the couple is interested in is likely to be unit 601 of a recently developed block on Campbell Pde.
The likeliness of Bingle and Clarke being interested in this property is due it being the only apartment available in that area.
However, McGrath Real Estate, the agents for the property, was not prepared to comment on whether the couple was interested in the property. (ANI)
