, Jan 2 : Senior Maoist leader Mohan Baidya today said that his party will not unify with any other party at the cost of ''Prachanda Path'', which has been the party''s guiding ideology for the past few years.

Baidya clarified that his party cannot do without Prachanda Path, which follows the nick name of party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ''Prachanda'', but hinted that the Maoists could confer with other parties to further enhance the party''s guiding ideology.

Baidya''s statement comes a day after the CPN-Unity Centre (Masal) decided to unify with the CPN-Maoist.

Masal has been demanding that the Maoists relinquish the ''Prachanda Path'' for the unification of the two parties.

Baidya accused the Nepali Congress (NC) of raising the issue of the return of the seized property to join the government.

He also informed that the land properties belonging to feudalists will be distributed among poor people by formulating appropriate laws.

Commenting on the decision of the Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party (TMLP) to withdraw its support to the government, Baidya said the decision would have no impact on the government.

"If we get support from all the quarters, we will stay in the government. Else, the road is empty," Kantipur quoted him as saying. (ANI)
