Koirala says Nepal neighbours’ views converging
Kathmandu, Feb 9 : Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala has said that China and India were developing identical foreign policies on Nepal.
Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday Koirala said, "The two countries are developing similar views on Nepal. Both were concerned that political instability in Nepal might spill into their territories.
"Nepal would benefit if they developed similar policies," he added.
Koirala also slammed the Maoist government for introducing ordinance after ordinance, adding that this would turn the country into a totalitarian state.
He claimed that people had started looking for alternatives as Prime Minister Prachanda had failed to take other parties into confidence.
"I call on him to take all stakeholders into confidence and move ahead," he said.
Commenting on the possibility formation of a new government, he said his party would support whichever party that works in tandem with others and takes the peace process to a logical conclusion, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
