Join ‘30 Days Wild’ If You Want To Spend Time Protecting Flora and Fauna This Summer
Wildlife trusts in Britain have come up with a project named '30 Days Wild', in which any individual can come forward and can devote his or her time during June if he/she wants to connect with nature and do something to protect flora and fauna.
Devised by Britain's 47 county-based Wildlife trusts, '30 Days Wild' motivates youngsters and other enthusiasts to contribute in protecting nature.
Ellie Harrison, presenter with BBC Countryfile and President of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and '30 Days Wild' backer, said participants of the project can do lots of things during the month.
They can climb the highest hill, take a wild photo or one can even follow a bumble bee to see where it takes you, said Harrison.
Signing up on the wildlife trusts' website will provide you with a pack full of encouragement, including a list of Random Acts of Kindness to choose from, a wall chart and a month-long stream of inspirational emails.
A spokesman for the trusts said, "We know that children are growing up disconnected from nature, only one in ten children ever plays in wild places. This problem affects adults, too. It is difficult in busy lives to create right moment or find time for nature".
He further stated that '30 Days Wild' inspire people of every age to come and participate in project and experience the feel to be closer to nature. The project welcomes everyone who feels they can take part in it.
