JLo urges parents to protect kids from whooping cough
Washington, Apr 23 : American actress Jennifer Lopez has taken up a new campaign and she is urging parents to vaccinate themselves against whooping cough, so that the deadly virus will not be passed on to their kids.
Lopez, 39, who is mother to 14-month-old twins Max and Emme, further warned parents that should the kids contract the virus it could kill them.
The actress is backing up the campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of the disease, which is easily cured among adults, but potentially deadly to infants.
"They actually catch it from their parents. We can get over it but, for the baby, it can lead to death... so I got it and recommend everyone to get it," Contactmusic quoted her as saying. (ANI)
