Inspiron Mini 12 launched by Dell in Japan

Dell Inspiron Mini 12 was launched on Sunday. According to Dell, Inspiron 12 will be available in the U.S. by mid- November.

Inspiron Mini 12 is the first notebook that has a 12 – inch screen. The newest model from Dell with competer with 10 inches notebooks by Lenovo, IdeaPAd S10 and MSI Wind. The resolution of the screen would be 1,280 by 800. It is shaped like a wedge, 9 by 11.8 by 0.92 inches.

It weighs 2.7 pounds and is powered by 3- cell battery. Intel's Atom Z520 1.33-GHz processor or the Z530 1.6-GHz 2-watt Menlo Silverthorn processors power the Mini 12.

The Mini 12's feature set includes three USB ports, a multicard reader, Ethernet, VGA-Out, and a 1.3-megapixel camera. Hard drives  have a choice between 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB.  Although it doesn't have the antenna infrastructure to support WWAN, an empty slot is available for it. But it has in built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
