Dell files petition against Psion

DellDell, the well known PC maker, on Wednesday filed with a petition with the Patent and Trademark Office, under which it sought to cancel a registered trademark for the term "Netbook" by a company called Psion.

Psion is a Canadian mobile computer maker, which owns the trademark "Netbook." It also has sold a product called Netbook in the past. Late last year, Psion commenced sending some tech bloggers and Netbook makers' cease-and-desist notices, under which it asked them to stop using the term "Netbook."

India welcomes Dell Inspiron Mini 12

Dell launches Mini 12Leading computer manufacturer, Dell has launched its quasi-Netbook, the Mini 12 in the US market. Earlier, Dell Mini 12 has been launched in Japan. Mini 12 is available at a starting price of $549.00 in United States.

It supports 1.6GHz Atom chip, 6-cell battery and 60GB hard drive with ultra modern finish and look. One can upgrade its hard disk from to 60GB or 80GB and speed up CPU operations using 1.6GHz version of the Atom.

Dell Inspiron Mini 12 was launched on Sunday. According to Dell, Inspiron 12 will be available in the U.S. by mid- November.

Inspiron Mini 12 is the first notebook that has a 12 – inch screen. The newest model from Dell with competer with 10 inches notebooks by Lenovo, IdeaPAd S10 and MSI Wind. The resolution of the screen would be 1,280 by 800. It is shaped like a wedge, 9 by 11.8 by 0.92 inches.
