Pebble Beach, US  - The Japanese premium car maker Infiniti has released the first teaser image of the new "M" high-performance luxury sedan that will replace the M45.

The car, which makes its debut at a private event in Pebble Beach on August 15, will be sold in Japan, Europe, the United States and possibly Australia.

Featuring sweeping sporty lines, the vehicle is likely to be powered by the V6 from the 370Z or the 5-litre from the Infiniti FX50 SUV.

The M will be placed above the existing G37 sedan. (dpa)
