A nearly perfect conic mountain that almost resembles a sculpted pyramid is considered as one of the more strange physical characteristics of the huge asteroid Ceres. As per reports, one more astonishing finding was discovered in Occator crater of the asteroid; the creator is one of the latest strange monuments in space.

Talking about the almost conic mountain, Paul Schenk, a researcher on the Dawn Science team, said, "This mountain is among the tallest features we've seen on Ceres to date". The position of the huge mountain is thought to be quite interesting for the reason that technically, it should be located at the center of a crater, however it is not the case.

When we talk in relation to asteroid's famous Occator crater, the extraordinary glow from the asteroid originates from the crater and at present, there is no scientific explanation regarding this. Earlier, NASA said that the glow was as a result of the reflection of ice, however there is no proof to support this.

According to David O'Brien, from the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson, Ariz., a number of other interesting discoveries are yet to be made. Two huge impact basins, Urvara and Yalode, that consist of big cracks are among some of the most recent discoveries by the Dawn spacecraft.

At times, Ceres is also called a "Dwarf planet" for the reason that it is the biggest known object in the whole asteroid belt.
