Hotel run mostly by robots opened in Japan

According to reports, a new hotel has been opened in Japan, which is mainly run by robots. As per reports, the hotel is called “Henn a Hotel” in Japanese and “Weird Hotel” in English. People who have been employed in the hotel are just doing the work of observing the security cameras.

The hotel has robots as other staff, right from the receptionist to the bellhop. There is only one robot that speaks in English. And it looks quite frightening; it asks customers to push one when they want to check-in. After that one needs to push a button on the touch screen and input information required. The receptionist at the hotel speaks Japanese and she is a female humanoid.

Robots are also there in rooms of the hotel. These robots give information regarding time and weather forecast. They will also assist in turning the lights on and off for customers because no light switches are there on the walls. As per reports, the robot servicing in the rooms look similar to a lamp having a pink tulip’s shape.

The bellhop takes luggage of customers to their room. As per MSN News, in place of the using keys for entering the rooms, facial recognition technology is being used. According to them, it has been done because robots face difficulty in finding keys if a customer loses them.

A huge robotic arm is also there that carries glass boxes out of the wall for customers to keep their items.
