Google says no for hand over of Wi-Fi Data drive
Google said a firm ‘No’ on providing users' Wi-Fi information when the German authorities asked for it.
As a part of ongoing criminal investigation, the German prosecutors set a deadline for Google to hand over the hard drive that contained information of the alleged criminal that was denied on its deadline date, report Financial Times.
This has led to filing of case against Google by German prosecutors who assert that Google has been illegally collecting data about the WI-Fi connections via its Google Cars when they were out collecting images using cameras and GPS devices for the Google Maps feature Street View.
Google stated that if it hands over the data it will land up facing fresh charges against this.
Meanwhile, Google has asked for some time to reach to a decision.
