Good news for the gamers in India! The maker of Xbox gaming console, Microsoft has released its Xbox 360 Arcade in India. The entry-level console - Xbox 360 Arcade has been launched to replace the Xbox 360 Core model in India.
The Xbox 360 Arcade offers everything for gamers' contentment. It comes with a pack of five classic arcade games, including Uno, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket, Pac-man Championship Edition, and Feeding Frenzy.
It appears that the Japanese manufacturers of imaging and optical products are quite optimistic about their products in the Indian market. Just simultaneously with the launch of eight new Coolpix cameras by Nikon, Canon has rolled out a slew of its new digital cameras and camcorders in the Indian Market. Canon has launched as many as 23 new products including smart digital cameras and camcorders in India.
Fortis Healthcare has made announcement about the establishment of a separate block for the treating of cancer patients at its Noida Hospital.
The hospital said that it will make an investment of Rs 30 crore to set up this block.
Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh, Fortis Healthcare Managing Director, said, “Fortis Noida is constructing a separate block for Oncology covering an area of 30,000 sq ft. This block is expected to be operational in third quarter of fiscal 2010.”
After a prolonged illness, the 83-years-old filmmaker Shakti Samanta passed away at his residence in Mumbai on Thursday.
His son, Asim Samanta, also a film producer, was by his side.
He said, “My father suffered a stroke about two months ago and was recovering from it. On Thursday evening, while he was undergoing physiotherapy, he suffered a cardiac arrest. He left us at 6 pm.”
Samanta’s funeral would be held at the Santa Cruz crematorium at 11 am on Friday.
Suven Life Sciences, a Drug Discovery and development company, has finished the phase I clinical trial for its new molecule, SUVN 502 in healthy volunteers.
In a filing, Suven Life Sciences said, “The company has completed its Phase I multiple ascending dose study of SUVN-502 in healthy volunteers.”
The commercialization of generic equivalents of Lanthanum Carbonate - Fosrenol(r) - tablets is on the cards, thanks to collaboration between the Mumbai-based pharma biggie, Lupin, and the Hyderabad-based integrated pharmaceutical and bulk chemicals' manufacturer, Natco Pharma.
Talking about the Lupin-Natco collaboration for Fosrenol(r), a Natco spokesperson said that the accord will help Natco battle a patent lawsuit recently filed by the Fosrenol(r) innovator - the UK-based firm, Shire Plc.
