PCB eyeing lucrative earnings from television rightsThe Pakistan Cricket Board is optimistic to earn huge money from the sale of television rights despite tough global financial conditions. The board has decided to sell TV rights next week. However, the board has not decided about the reserve prices for interested parties.

The board aims to get around $120 million from the sale for the next four and half years as per the reports of sources close to the development.

HC orders initiation of criminal proceedings against six BCCI officials

Board of Control for Cricket in IndiaAs per the Calcutta High Court order, criminal proceedings will be initiated against six BCCI officials - including the president, Shashank Manohar, and former president Sharad Pawar - for filing a false affidavit, in a case of alleged perjury involving Jagmohan Dalmiya's expulsion from the Indian board.

The remaining four Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials include Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty; former secretary Niranjan Shah; Secretary N Srinivasan; and junior Cricket Committee Chairman Chirayu Amin.

Since Wednesday's sensational development, BCCI officials, including former chief Sharad Pawar, were busy in consulting lawyers.

Speaking on this, Rajiv Shukla, (Chairman - BCCI Finance Committee) said, “It was an ex parte order and the BCCI officials were not given an opportunity to put across their case. We have decided to move the Supreme Court in this matter.”
