Washington, Jan 12: Just one negative comment on you on the web may be enough to cost you your job, and to evade such an impact, an expert has now given tips on how to avoid and repair comments that could tarnish your internet image.

According to estimates, over 70 percent of employers do a Web search on job applicants as part of their hiring procedures, and more than 50 percent of them confess that they do not prefer applicants who are found to have negative information about them online.

New Delhi, Jan 12 : A meeting of the State Transport Ministers will be held here today to solve the situation arising out of the truckers strike.

A State Transport Ministers'' meeting will discuss the prevailing situation and steps required to ensure uninterrupted movement of essential commodities across the country.

The Central Government will take up the issue of national permit with the States and would emphasise that it would help in smooth inter-State movement of goods.

As the strike entered the eighth day today, All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) Vice-President Amolak Singh Bhatia said: "The strike is on, and the solution lies completely in the hands of the Government."

Nairobi/Mogadishu  - Clashes between Somali Islamists competing to seize areas abandoned by departing Ethiopian troops left around 30 people dead and 30 more injured over the weekend, reports said Monday.

Main insurgent group al-Shabaab and a local militia group clashed in Guriel, some 500 kilometres north of the capital Mogadishu, the BBC reported.

Ethiopian forces invaded Somalia in late 2006 to help kick out the hardline Islamic Courts Union (ICU) regime.

After two years of battling a bloody insurgency and watching the government it backed fall apart, Ethiopia is now in the process of pulling out.

Kathmandu  - At least seven people were killed and two others injured in a truck accident early Monday in western Nepal, police said.

The truck fell 50 metres off a highway in Palpa district, about 230 kilometres west of the Nepalese capital Kathmandu, and plunged into the fast-flowing Tinau River, the police said.

The truck driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle on the narrow, winding mountain highway.

Police said seven people died instantly while two others were rushed to hospital in serious condition.

New Delhi, Jan 11 : Union Surface Transport and Shipping Mminister T R Baalu will convene a meeting on Monday with the Ministers of Transport of States to solve the situation arising out of the truckers strike.

On Saturday, Baalu had a meeting with the representatives of the All India Federation of Goods Vehicle Owner Association and expressed government''s readiness to negotiate with truck operators who have been on a strike since Monday.
