Gelsenkirchen, Germany  - Schalke 04 Monday sold midfielder Fabian Ernst to Turkish side Besiktas but denied striker Kevin Kuranyi was for sale.

Ernst, 29, who won 24 caps for Germany between 2002 and 2006, moves immediately for an unconfirmed fee of 4.5 million euros.

The Bundesliga club confirmed unsettled midfielder Albert Streit was joining SV Hamburg on loan but denied it wanted to sell former Germany international Kuranyi.

Rome  - Italian Serie A side Juventus have said they will not allow their striker Amauri to play with the Brazilian national team for a friendly against Italy on February 10 in London, Italian media reported Sunday.

"No request arrived (from Brazil) and even if it did, it would be too late. We would not accept it," Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli said.

"We talked with the footballer, who is now aware of (our decision). The responsibility for the choice is ours. We must focus on the next games of Juve and we want him to stay with us."

Madrid - Spanish Liga club Betis announced late on Saturday night the signing of Ricardo Oliveira from second division Zaragoza.

The deal went through just minutes before the closing of the winter transfer window at midnight on Saturday.

Betis will pay 9 million euros (11.58 million dollars) to Zaragoza for the Brazilian striker.

Oliveira, 28, has signed a contract with Betis which runs until June 2013.

Madrid - Malaga stay in seventh place in the Spanish Liga as a result of Saturday's pulsating late 3-2 defeat away to in-form Athletic Bilbao.

Victory in San Mames would have taken Malaga up to fourth and they were twice in the lead, only to collapse in the final minutes.

Bilbao were given a rowdy reception in San Mames because of Wednesday's cup win away to Sporting Gijon. They face Sevilla in the quarter-finals next week.

Tehran  - Iran's top and popular football star, Ali Karimi, is on the verge of dismissal from his club Persepolis Tehran after voicing renewed criticism of the country's sports officials, local media reported Saturday.

The former Bayern Munich midfielder was dismissed last year from the national team after harshly criticizing the Iranian Football Federation (FFI) and describing its current formation as the weakest in his ten-year spell in the national team, bringing Iranian football backwards rather than forward.

Hamburg  - Bayern Munich are to send teenage star Toni Kroos out on loan to Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who is currently building up match fitness following an ankle injury, is to move immediately to Leverkusen until the end of the 2010 season, Bayern media director Markus Hoerwick confirmed to Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa Saturday.

No details were given about the finances of the 18-month deal.
