Robin WilliamsWashington, Nov 26 : Robin Williams’ 1989 flick ‘Dead Poet’s Society’, the tale of an English class changed irrevocably by an inspirational teacher, has been voted the ‘Best Film Set In School Ever’.

The flick topped the poll after Teachers TV received nearly 2,500 votes from teachers, students and pupils on over 100 movies to compile a list of the top ten school-based films.

Iraq Parliament expected to vote on a security pact with US

Iraq BaghdadBaghdad  - The Iraqi parliament is expected to pass on Wednesday a security agreement with the US that would decide the future of 150,000 US troops in the country despite the challenge from anti-US Shiites group opposing the deal.

The 275-member legislature is expected to vote by a show of hands on the wide-ranging accord, which would require US troops to withdraw from Iraqi cities by the end of June and from the rest of the country by the end of 2011.

Somali pirates cut ransom demand for Ukraine tank-ship crew

UKrain languageKiev - Somali pirates holding the crew of a Ukrainian cargo ship loaded with tanks and munitions reduced their ransom demand to a cut-rate three million dollars, Sehodnia newspaper reported Wednesday.

The seventeen officers and crew of the MV Faina, carrying an arms shipment from Ukraine to Kenya, have been in pirate custody since September. The vessel was anchored near the Somali port Hobyo at last report.

However, the New York Daily News reports, a source denied the claim saying “she''s not scheduled to appear in Playboy at this time.”
