George Best''s tragic life story to be made into TV film

George BestLondon, Nov 27 : The rise and fall journey of flawed football genius George Best is poised to be made into a TV film for BBC2.

Upcoming actor Tom Payne will play the role of the late Manchester United and Northern Ireland star.

The shooting for the film began recently in Belfast.

The film would mainly chronicle the George’s life in the 60s and 70s, focussing on his losing battles with alcoholism and his once-teetotal mum Anne.

"It is going to be very powerful and emotional but may be difficult to watch for some fans,” The Mirror quoted a source as saying.

"The United States condemns this terrorist attack and we will continue to stand with the people of India in this time of tragedy," White House press secretary Dana Perino said. "President Bush offers his condolences to the Indian people and the families of the innocent civilians killed and injured in the attacks."

Suspected terror ship found by Coast GuardMumbai, Nov. 27 : Coast Guard officials have reportedly found a ship that is said to have been used to ferry terrorists into Mumbai ahead of Wednesday''s serial attacks that claimed over 100 lives and injured over 280.

Coast Guard officials said that the ship -- M V Alpha -- was found 112 kilometers from Mumbai. They said that the ship is being searched, and added that two aircraft, choppers are being used to scour the area near the ship.

The ship is said to have carried the terrorists from Gujarat to Mumbai.

“These groups are jihadists, have links to the other organizations in Kashmir but also inside Pakistan with pro-Taliban elements and eventually Al Qaeda. The ideological identification is most likely jihadist although the group almost surely will issue a release to claim the attack,” Fox News quotes the expert, as saying.

Danish foreign minister leaves Thailand, a day late

Per Stig MollerCopenhagen  - Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller was able to leave Thailand a day late Thursday on a flight departing from a military airport, Danish media reported.

Thousands of protesters have since Tuesday night controlled the international airport Suvarnabhumi, one of South-East Asia's main aviation hubs.

Moller accompanied Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary on an official visit to Thailand marking the 150-year anniversary of a friendship and trade agreement between the two nations.
