Lucknow, Dec 6 : As a mark of protest against the Mumbai terror attacks, Muslims here have decided to tone down celebrations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Muslim organizations and bodies have urged the Muslims to observe Eid-ul-Azha that falls on December 9 this year.
Denouncing the Mumbai attacks, the Muslim clerics have asked people to take part in sermons ahead of the festive prayer offerings.

Washington, December 6 : Australian actress Nicole Kidman has revealed that Hugh Jackman had fainted on the first day of shooting the Baz Luhrmann epic.
The actress, who had to be rushed to hospital after fainting on horseback while filming her scenes in the blistering heat, said that she was not the only one to struggle with the scorching temperatures.
She said that Jackman too fainted just hours after the cameras started rolling.
Jaipur, Dec 6 : Re-polling will be held in Rajasthan on December 7 instead of December 6 as announced earlier by the Election Commission, official sources said here today.
The Chief Electoral Office had announced in Jaipur on Friday that re-polling would be held in about three dozen polling booths in the districts of Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Kota and Sawaimadhopur.
The respective returning officers announced re-polling after getting complaints of rigging, EVM malfunctioning, and booth capturing during polling on Thursday.
Mumbai, Dec. 6 : There was one amazing escape from Nariman House in Mumbai last week at the height of the confrontation between terrorists and the security forces.
That escape was of Sandra Samuel, a nanny employed by an Israeli couple to look after their two-year-old son.
