Year 2007-08 had seen over a dozen debutant(e)s starting a journey into the Hindi film industry. And not shockingly, most of them come from ‘Filmi’ families, and Sonam Kapoor is one of them.

Sonam Kapoor, daughter of ace Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor, burst upon Bollywood with a critically acclaimed though box office failure “Saawariya”.

Though the film failed to set audience ablaze, but the amount of stardom Sonam gathered was more than enough to get the promotion and make a presence in the directors’ ‘most wanted’ list.

Now, she is again back with a bang in 2009.

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, whose ‘Drona’ failed to attract the interest of the wider public in 2008, has big hopes from his upcoming film ‘Dilli 6’.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film will hit theatres on Feb 20.

In Dilli 6, Abhi is playing the role of ‘Roshan Mehra’, who is born and brought up in New York. Roshan has never been to India but the path of the movie brings him to his ancestral home for the first time. The challenge of the role was to stick out and blend into the surroundings.

The well known director of bollywood, Prakash Jha, who is known for his politically charged films like Gangaajal, is currently in Bhopal shooting for his latest movie, 'Rajneeti'.

The movie stars popular actors from Bollywood, including Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar.

An excited Prakash Jha exclaimed, "I will certainly contend the elections this time."

The plot of the movie is based upon the contemporary Indian political scenario and there are rumors flaunting all around that Katrina Kaif is playing the character of Sonia Gandhi.

The well known Popstar Rihanna apparently is quite scared from her boyfriend Chris Brown due an unfortunate incident that occurred between the two.

Reportedly, they entered into a fight when Brown received a text message from another woman, which irritated Rihanna so much that she simply dashed out of the car, following which Brown tried to pull her back in.

Apparently, Chris became so irritated from his gal that he simply hit her badly causing bruises on her face.

Essel Group’s direct-to-home (DTH) service Dish TV has extended its endorsement agreement with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan for next 18 months.

Dish TV has appointed actor King Khan as its brand ambassador in 2007 for endorsing Dish TV in a competitive market environment.

According to the latest report presented by TAM AdEx, SRK occupies the No. 1 position in the country’s Top 10 list of celebrities endorsing products on television.

Mr. Salil Kapoor, Dish TV COO, said that the company aims to take Dish TV’s current subscriber base of five million to eight million by FY'10 fiscal.

The big news doing the rounds is that Sanjay Dutt and Manyata have celebrated their first wedding anniversary at their Pali Hill residence.

It’s been an eventful year for the couple, who tied the knot on Feb 11, 2008 as per Hindu traditions.

Initially, the couple landed in legal net, when a man suddenly popped up claiming to be Manyata’s spouse and also disclosed that they have a two-year-old son, which was followed by spat between Sanjay Dutt and his loving sister Priya Dutt.
