Disney’s ‘Bolt’ tops UK box office

Disney’s BoltLondon, Feb 18 : Disney's animation film Bolt has topped UK and Ireland box office chart in its opening weekend.

According to Screen International, the film, which features the voice of John Travolta as a TV show dog, who believes his fictional powers are real, raked in 2.8 million pounds in first three days, reports the BBC.

On the other hand, Oscar frontrunner Slumdog Millionaire jumped to second place grossing 20 million pounds in five weeks.

Romantic comedy He''s Just Not That Into You starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long fell one place to three.

The Study says: "In many ways, 2008 was a testing time for the industry. With the global economic slowdown affecting advertising spends, sectors like TV, print, radio and outdoor that depend on advertising revenues were affected."
