Exploration of Mysterious Fireball in Vegas Valley Sky is On

A brief, but stunning, light show was spotted in the Vegas valley sky on Wednesday night, and the West is still buzzing about it. Nevadans had a clear view of a puzzling fireball that blazed across the skies over three states. Many people captured it on cell phone cameras.

According to defense officials, the object was a part of Russian space debris, but a numerous theories have been proposed by the ones who saw it.

The I-Team's George Knapp received a number of calls and messages enquiring about what it could have been. On social media, viewers suggested the I-Team to strap on tin foil hats, carry light sabers, and move out to Pahrump for investigation.

When something strange happens, or is noticed in the sky, a lot of theories, and supposed explanations come forwards.

A local resident, Donald Henderson, recorded the debris on cell phone video, and said, “Got a comet flying around here in Vegas”. Henderson’s post was among the first and best fireball videos, when it blazed throughout the sky.

8 News Now Meteorologist Tedd Florendo was doing his job outside when he noticed the blaze just ahead of a live broadcast. Florendo said, “Please send us those pictures because as a meteorologist, an amazing sight”.

Its look varied depending on the angle of the viewer, it seems like a light ball, a fuzzy comet or an object that has caught fire.
