Madrid - Japanese veteran playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura is moving to Espanyol on a free transfer from Scottish giants Celtic the Spanish club said Tuesday.

Nakamura, 30, has agreed to a two-year contract with the Catalan club. Espanyol will be his third club in Europe after Celtic and Reggina.

Nakamura is Espanyol's third summer signing, after midfielder Joan

Verdu from Deportivo Coruna and Ben Sahar from Chelsea.

According to the Spanish media, Espanyol's next target will be Tottenham yougster Giovani Dos Santos, who knows La Liga well after starting his career at Barcelona.(dpa)
