Drone flies without FAA’s permission
According to media reports, a small drone flew over Washington Nationals players for a few days in order to take pictures of the players in Florida during the previous month.
The drone took pictures there was not possible for human photographers. However, the drone flights had to stop as the operator had not taken the Federal Aviation Administration's permission for the flights. Team officials confirmed that they did not take permission from the authority for the flights.
The Federal Aviation Administration has barred commercial use of drones in the country. FAA officials have said that the adequate rules must be in place before unmanned aircraft are allowed to fly in the US airspace. The agency is working on those rules but experts have said that it might still take some time before these rules are put in place. The agency is working on regulations for small drones that weigh less than 55 pounds.
Experts have said that regulations for larger drones are still further and it might take some more time for the regulators to put rules in place for the drones.
