Cook visits Foxconn‘s iPhone production line in ChinaTim Cook, the Chief Executive Officer of Apple has said visited Foxconn's new the iPhone production line in China.

Mr. Cook visited the newly built Foxconn Zhengzhou Technology Park in Zhengzhou, China while on a visit to the country. The facility provides employment to 120,000 people, according Carolyn Wu, a Apple spokeswoman based in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

The spokeswoman did not disclose the duration of Mr. Cook's stay in the country and also did not announce nay other details about his visit. Mr. Cook had held meetings with Chinese leader Li Keqiang, indicating that the American technology giant is increasing taking the Chinese market seriously.

According to reports, he discussed intellectual-property issues and greater cooperation with the senior leader in Beijing. Mr. Li, who is working currently as the country's vice premier, is expected to succeed Premier Wen Jiabao next year.

The visit comes amid an ongoing legal battle with a local company over the use of the iPad trademark in the country. Meanwhile, Apple received approval from Chinese regulators for the launch of its newest iPad computer tablet in the country indicating that company might be able to offer the new tablet in the country despite the dispute over the iPad trademark.
