New Delhi [India], Mar 28 : Digital platform that connects, engages and helps sports audiences interact with each other on a real-time basis, Rooter on Tuesday announced raising of an undisclosed amount of funds from Intex, one of India's fastest growing consumer electronic goods and accessories manufacturer.

The sports social engagement app earlier successfully raised funds from Dhruv Chitgopekar and Prantik Dasgupta.

It also holds the distinction of being the first venture that Bollywood star, Boman Irani, has invested in as an angel investor.

Mozilla-intex-mobileNew Delhi: Mozilla, the developer of the Firefox web browser, has tied up with handset makers Intex and Spice to bring smartphones priced at USD 25 (Rs 1,500) to India in the next few months, a move that may redefine the "ultra-affordable" mobile phone market in the country.

Mozilla showcased a smartphone prototype costing as little as USD 25 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February, targeting developing countries including India and China. The Firefox operating system devices will compete with phones using Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows platforms.

Intex Technologies eyes Rs.800 crore turnoverKolkata, Oct 13 : IT hardware, mobile phones and electronics company Intex Technologies (India) is targeting Rs. 800 crore turnover this fiscal, a top official said here Tuesday.

"We have made many new launches this fiscal. We have entered into the laptop segment and have unveiled huge range of mobile phones," Ranjit Bhattacharjee, zonal sales manager (computer peripherals) of Intex, told reporters.

The company recorded Rs. 466 crore turnover in 2008-09 and has a growth rate of 46 percent, Bhattacharjee said.
