According to the head of NASA, alien life definitely exists out there and they will look for it. According to NASA administrator Charles Frank Bolden Jr, if they don’t succeed in their current efforts to find life on Mars and elsewhere in the solar system, they will look for it elsewhere.

He told 10-year-old Carmen Dearing on Sky News, “I do believe that we will someday find other forms of life or a form of life, if not in our solar system then in some of the other solar systems - the billions of solar systems in the universe”.

Bolden believes that the total number of distant planets that have been discovered by telescopes like Kepler indicate that there are thousands of places where life could be found.

According to Bolden, today, it is known that there are thousands of other planets and many of them could be very similar to Earth. As per Bolden, many believe that they will find evidence that there is life somewhere else in the universe.

He also told his 10-year-old interviewer that he thinks that the space agency would without any doubt travel to Mars within his lifetime. He said that the first crewed mission to Mars could take place by 2030.

Earlier, NASA chief scientist Ellen Stofan was also asked if she believed in alien life. She replied that they’ll have evidence of alien lifeforms within next 10 years and they’ll know certainly in 20, 30 tops.
