Moscow  - At least 10 persons were killed in southern Russia in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a petrol fuel truck, the Interfax agency reported Friday, citing police accounts.

A further 40 passengers were taken to hospital after the collision which occurred near the city of Rostov on the Don River.
