Limited edition fastest Lamborghini with $3.9m price tag sold out New York, Mar 6 : The fastest Lamborghini ever built - the limited edition Veneno, which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show with its 3.9 million-dollar price tag, sold out its limited run of three vehicles.

It features a 12-cylinder engine capable of reaching 220 miles per hour, the New York Daily News reported.

Lamborghini hopes to use the Veneno as a testing ground for new materials and technologies that it will eventually introduce to its less limited-edition lineup.

NHTSA expands its safety probe into Ford vehiclesExpanding its safety probe into Ford Motor Co.'s vehicles, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recently revealed that it has initiated an investigation into complaints pertaining to the engine stalling and surging issues on some of the Ford vehicles of model years 2009 through 2011.

Revealing that it has received 1,448 complaints involving the alleged engine issue, the NHTSA said that the investigation will affect nearly 724,982 Ford vehicles, including Escape compact SUVs and Fusion sedans, as well as Mercury Mariner SUVs and Milan sedans.

JLR records 32% increase in sales

JLR records 32% increase in salesJaguar Land Rover, a unit of India's Tata Motors, has said that it has recorded an increase of 32 per cent in sales during the month of January. The UK-based company was able to sell 34,877 units during the month with strong growth recorded in the Asian region. 

The company's sales rose by whopping 74 per cent during January 2013 compared to the same month of the previous year.  The company's sales in Asia-pacific region grew 46 per cent in the month compared to January of 2012.

Tata Motors consolidated net profit in the October-December quarter slipped 52 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,628 crore, despite an increase of 2 per cent in revenue to Rs 46,090 crore. Analysts had projected profit of Rs 2,250 crore on revenue of Rs 47,277 crore.
