Bigshoebazaar Receives Financial Support Worth INR40 CroresThe two business enterprises, Catamaran Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners have agreed to provide Rs 40 crore’s financial support to the online footwear selling site Bigshoebazaar at the cost of its 20% equity.

The enterprise Bigshoebazaar sells footwear’s of brands like Bata, Puma, Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Red Tape, J Hampstead, Duke, Liberty, FILA, Levi's Lee, Mufti, Provogue, Woodland, Wrangler and Lotto through its website. It started its business in the year 2009, has 3,000 online buyers and more than 100 brands at display.

It supplies footwear from wholesalers to smaller merchants and sportsperson across smaller towns which o not have a reach out to such brands and cannot place large orders. Along with display of catalogues online, it has a link with the retailers of various brands. The company also provides license of an e-commerce portal for shoe, clothing, bags, accessories and gift items.

As per Manmohan Agarwal, Founder & CEO, Bigshoebazaar India, “We have invested substantial efforts, technology and capital into building robust warehousing, logistics and distribution capabilities. The funding will help us expand our reach and strengthen our back-end supply chain and delivery infrastructure. Both Nexus and Catamaran are working with us closely to build a robust e-commerce company”.
