Bharat Forge Net Surges 118% In Third Quarter
Pune-based Bharat Forge Ltd announced a growth of 1185 in its standalone net profit for the three month period ended December 2010.
The forging major had recorded consolidated net profit of Rs 83 crore for the period under review as against the net profit of Rs 38 crore in the corresponding period a year back.
During the October-December period, Bharat Forge has recorded maximum exports of Rs 359 crore.
The increase in export figures has been witnessed across geographies and divisions and has been accomplished in spite of both the automotive markets in the European and USA market still well below their highs.
Bharat Forge's revenues have surged to Rs 790 crore in the quarter, a growth of 55.81% as against Rs 507 crore registered in the same period of 2009.
While commenting on the company's outcomes, Mr. B N Kalyani, chairman and managing director stated, "This quarter has been a significant one with strong performance from both the Indian and the International operations. The company is clearly back on the growth path and expects growth to continue with recovery in the North American and European Automotive markets. The company is on track with its strategy of increasing revenues and gain significant market share from the non- automotive sectors."
The company's non automotive biz continues to see sturdy traction from both Indian as well as abroad market zones with build up of production of novel programs.
