Bhaap.com to sell iPhone 5 in India for Rs 71,995 on Friday

appleBhaap. com, a Bangalore-based online shopping store, has announced that it would sell the Apple iPhone 5 in India for just one day on Friday, September 28.

The iPhone 5 is the newest smartphone offering from Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant Apple Inc. But the smartphone has not been officially launched in India, though it is already doing brisk trade in the country’s grey market.

Comparatively unfamiliar Bhaap. com online store said it would sell the newest version of the iPhone for Rs 71,000, starting 10 AM on September 28.

The online store will ship the unlocked iPhone 5 with manufacturer warranty for those customers who booked the handset. Shipping across India will be free. However, no information was provided about how buyers will obtain nano SIM as Indian carriers currently are not providing nano SIMs.

The iPhone 5 boasts a 4.0-inch retina display that offers a rich resolution of 640 by 1136 pixels at 326 pixels per inch (ppi). To make the display scratch resistant, the manufacturer has covered it with Corning’s Gorilla Glass and oleophobic coating.

The list of the iPhone 5’s other noteworthy features includes an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, and a powerful A6 chip that offer LTE support around the world.
