Aircel launches unique email service with exclusive handset

Aircel-LogoThe telecom company Aircel has launched a new device Aircel Peek. If you go by the look, it looks like a blackberry handset or other QWERTY phones available in the market. But actually these Aircel Peek devices help you access your emails. Surprisingly, in today's time when everybody is talking about technology convergence and one-device-for-all solutions, Aircel Peek comes as an exception. The device doesn't facilitate any voice services or any other data services except email.

It is basically a color display device with a QWERTY Keyboard (much like you have in Blackberry phones). The device has a 2.5-icnh QVGA res 65K colours screen display along with a multifunctional clickable scroll wheel. It allows 3 email accounts to be used for a small sum of Rs. 2999. Peek allows users to download and upload attachments in email, provided the file size is heavier than 10MB. It also allows users to read the email attachments in various file formats like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF et al. The device has security lock feature to keep away any kind of unauthorized access.

In fact, if wrong passwords are entered 10 times in a row, the device will automatically delete all the data stored to protect it from unauthorized access. Also, if charged once, the battery life lasts for 2-3 days. Aircel has both prepaid and postpaid plans for Peek.
