YouTube Offers New Advertising Search Platform
The new advertising channels were launched by Google Inc. on Wednesday, in order to allow companies run video advertisements on YouTube's search results. The platform which as of now is only available in the U. S., is similar to Google Adsene.
Matthew Liu, a YouTube product manager, reported, "We are trying to blend the best of Google with the best of YouTube."
The commercials can be linked by the advertiser to specific search words that are entered on YouTube. The video advertisements could be related to from selling merchandise to home improvement clips.
Video creators who desire larger audiences to view clips are expected to get attracted to the new YouTube advertising platform. The advertising search videos will be displayed under the "sponsored" columns within the search results.
It should be noted that YouTube is considered to be the largest video sharing site in the world and over 300 million users are attracted by it. A whopping 13 hours of video content is received by YouTube every minute.

With the aim to gain more financial success along with popularity, the advertisers are now being allowed by the Google owned YouTube, to promote their videos next to the site's search results.
This step, taken by the company today, has been introduced with the motive of increasing Google's revenue from advertising. The name of this new service is "Sponsored videos."
According to Matthew Liu, a YouTube product manager, "YouTube's users will see online commercials next to search results that are supposed to be related to their queries, whether for movies, video games or music. Advertisers place their commercials by bidding in an online auction for specific search keywords and only pay when a user clicks to watch the clip - much like how Google's search engine ad system works."
He added, "We are trying to blend the best of Google with the best of YouTube."
YouTube, which is owned by Google for past two years, is the world's largest video sharing site and over 300 million users are attracted by it. Users upload nearly 13 hours of videocontent on YouTube every minute.
According to comScore Video Metrix, "Google paid $1.65 billion for YouTube two years ago, and has since overseen a rapid rise in its popularity to 5 billion videos viewed per month, or a 44 percent market share." However, Google executives admit that generating money has taken longer than expected.
