Woods leads US to President Cup title win
The World no 1 golfer, Tiger Woods showed his supremacy in the golf as he led United States to a 19.5-14.5 victory over International side in the President Cup at Harding Park Golf Club in San Francisco on Sunday.
Woods helped to register perfect five victories in five matches in four days of the tournament. Wood and his partner world number three Steve Stricker won four matches which includes their victory over Geoff Ogilvy and Ryo Ishikawa on Thursday after starting with 6 and 4.
Woods had won 13 matches in the previous five outing in the president Cup while he lost 11 matches in the mean time. In Ryder Cup, Woods had 10 victories under his belt as compared to13 defeats while two matches ended in a draw.
Australian Greg Norman, captain of International side, said that Woods was their main player and he played superbly well in tournament as it was expected from the number one player in the world. Norman added that Woods turned the game in the favor of US after making putt on the 17th hole and his shot on 18th hole ensured their victory.
