Kabul - Unknown gunmen shot dead a western woman while she was on her way to her office in the western part of capital Kabul on Monday, police said.

The attackers, who were riding on motorbike, fled the area following the shooting, Zemarai Bashary interior ministry spokesman told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

Bashary declined to provide more information or identify the dead foreigner. (dpa)
