West Bengal police arrest 3 schoolkids for blastIn a surprising move, the West Bengal police has arrested three school kids in connection with the Maoist ambush on the chief minister's convoy on Sunday.

Out of these three school going kids, two are studying in Class IX at Katapahari High School and the third is a Class VII student of a Lalgarh school.

At the same time seven others who were arrested by the West Midnapore police were produced in court and remanded in police custody till November 14. They - including the school students - have been charged with Non-bailable offences, conspiracy and use of explosives.

A central intelligence team has reached at Salboni where the blast took place and met villagers. Maoists had trailed the wire that triggered the explosion through the un-harvested paddy fields.

On the Other hand, three lower-level personnel have got suspension order for negligence on part of their duty. Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee refused to comment when asked whether senior IPS officers would be punished for the incident.
