Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd., (Welspun), the flagship company of the $3000 million Welspun Group and the 2nd largest line company in the world has recently won orders worth Rs 960 crore for pipes and other from India and overseas.

With this addition of these orders, the current order book of the company stands at Rs 8700 crore (i. e. 890 K MT of pipes, external plate orders of 121 K MT and coating etc.)

Recently, Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd has informed that the members at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Company, have passed resolutions and authorized the Board to issue securities upto US$250 million or its Indian Rupee equivalent thereof.

Hemant Thukral, VP, Head Derivatives, Asian Market Securities is of the view that Welspun Gujarat has target of Rs 218.

Shares of Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren were trading at Rs 197, down 6.46 per cent on the BSE. The scrip had made 52-week-high and low of Rs 375 and Rs 45 respectively.
